Eklavya learns archery from a clay statue and surpasses Drona's own students. Arjuna is the best not because he is the most gifted but because he practises when others stop. Ashwatthama has enormous knowledge and almost no restraint, and it destroys him.
The Gita distinguishes jnana, knowledge, from vijnana, knowledge that has been lived and integrated. Information alone changes nothing. What transforms a person is what they do with it, repeatedly, when nobody is watching.
